Workshop Instructor

Chef Baron Hau is the founder of Gusta Cooking Studio, a place where lovers of good food exchange knowledge and resources. Through his educational endeavours, he wants to spread the enjoyment of good taste, and in turn elevating the appreciation of taste in the community.


Classically French trained in cuisine and pastry from the renowned Le Cordon Bleu, he paved his path under the guidance of chefs coming from Michelin star restaurants and MOFs. A pastry lover himself, Baron’s culinary training also empowers him in the realm of gustatory and olfactory explorations beyond ordinary sweetness.


Workshop Description

Chocolate is often associated with sweets. Yet as diverse as it can taste, savoury applications with chocolate and cocoa are seen in many cuisines, from ancient Mayan to modern French. In this special hands-on class, make a pasta dough from scratch using cocoa and eggs, then wrap them into raviolis with a meaty, savoury chocolate filling. Serve the dark ravioli over a light cocoa nib foam, creating a contrasting dish that is delicious yet unconventional.

  • Each session lasts for 1.5 hours with ingredients and equipment provided.

  • Workshop will be conducted mainly in Cantonese and English.

  • Quota of each session is limited to 12. Tickets are on a first-come-first-served basis.

  • This workshop is available for adults aged 18 or above.

  • Pre-Show Ticket Price includes one set of material for the entitled workshop. Free admission of one adult aged 18 or above by presenting the valid workshop ticket.

  • At-The-Door workshop ticket price includes one set of material for the entitled workshop. Please proceed to the organizer counter in Hall 5G to purchase the ticket.

  • Pre-Show Ticket of this workshop can be paid via Paypal. Please present the receipt email at the entrance of Hall 5G to redeem the wristband to enter the Salon, and present the receipt email at the classroom to join the workshop.
